Hallo Corona…

To be honest I haven’t wanted to jump on the band wagon of Corona and what it is doing to the society that we know so well. Sadly, it has come to a point where it needs to be mentioned and then incorporated into our lives.

Today we took a walk to Tooting to see if we can find handwash, nappies and milk for our twin babies. We saw a huge que outside Iceland and on our return home there was some altercation but all we could make out is something about queuing. I mean people are scared and desperate for food. I believe it is the fear that is causing this and hopefully in a few weeks the dust will settle, and people will realize that there is food if you don’t buy it all for yourself!

We have not been stock piling anything because we understood/thought that if everyone bought what they needed then there wouldn’t be this problem. As it stands some people will be going hungry while others have more food than they need or can eat. This situation is bringing out a side to people that can’t be helped or is making them take actions that they never thought they would. If we had teenagers for example, I would be worried how to feed them for 3 months. Everyone is coping with it differently.

Back to our walk after checking Sainsbury and then Iceland being a no go, a chemist without handwash we went into the Tesco and they had a few bits and pieces, relief! We got whole milk for our babies and some Porn Star Martini’s, basic needs, right?! We still needed hand wash so tried Boots even though Matt was convinced that Boots and chemists don’t do handwash…No judgement.

We walked home having not touched anything or buying stockpile levels. We had had some fresh air but unfortunately felt rather stressed and low about the entire situation. It will all simmer down I am sure, but currently the country is in fear and panic. People have activated their fight or flight but there are no flights out of this or any at all really. Eternally positive, I am sure we will get through this and things will return to some state of normality, something less post-apocalyptic. There has not been an apocalypse, we still have luxury’s that previous generations in dyer positions didn’t have so be grateful and carry on.

About us

It has been on my mind for a while to start this blog; the time is now. I became a mom of two amazing babies, Aria and Austin, and that really made me realize I wanted to share my experience of this crazy thing we call life. As the title suggests I’m doing what comes naturally and it may not always be perfect to everyone but it is perfect for me and my family.

My interests have always been varied and the blog will testify to this, everything from food, exercise and now parenting. The latter being the least predictable experience to date. I hope to share things that work and others that don’t, good days and bad days and how I make this work for me and my family. Because on the days that don’t go to plan and you feel alone, woman (and men) should know you are not, we are all part of the same big world.
